Chef and author Lilian Cordell presents recipes from her book Miriam’s Table, which celebrates Bukharian Jewish cuisine and pays tribute to her mother, Miriam. The book preserves traditional dishes passed down through generations and kept alive across the diaspora. For the Bukhara Biennial, Cordell brings these recipes back to their place of origin, working closely with Bukhara’s rabbi and his fellow cook. Among the dishes is the famous green palov, bukhsh — rice and lamb infused with herbs such as cilantro, dill, and spinach, cooked together in a muslin bag.
Attendance is strictly by reservation, as places are limited.
